In this video, we learn the Pledge of Allegiance (with text for young readers) and introduce the vocabulary word, “indivisible”. This is a great way for children to memorize the pledge, and for teachers to segue into a discussion about the pledge, and what it means to be an American.
In these times, I feel it is important for children to consider the ideals of our nation, and how best to live up to them. I hope this video will encourage thoughtful discussion about why we say the Pledge of Allegiance and the ideas behind the words.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
