Monster Hunt Freeze Dance

Monster Hunt Freeze Dance | Brain Break movement song for kindergarten is a super fun way to get your students up and moving around. In October, it’s the perfect way to kick off a Halloween class party, and is great fun all year ’round.

Monster Hunt Freeze Dance is an excellent warmup for P.E. classes and students working on locomotion. This song encourages preschool and kindergarten students to listen and follow directions to dance, march, hop, and run in place.

Freeze Dance is also an excellent way for students to practice balance, and is a great way to burn off some energy and help students relax and refocus. Monster Hunt Freeze Dance features cartoon characters your students can follow along with as they listen and move.

LYRICS:

Hi, Friends! We’re here in the dark and spooky forest because today, we’re doing to do the MONSTER HUNT FREEZE DANCE! We’re going to hunt for monsters, and if we see one, I want everyone to freeze so the monsters don’t see us! Let’s start hunting and while we do, let’s dance!

Dancing in the forest on a dark and spooky night (ooh!)
Hunting for the monsters looking left and right (left, right, left, right)
If we see a monster sneaking through the forest
You know what to do! We can trick them!
Don’t make a sound not a sniffle nor a sneeze I think I see a monster Everybody freeze!

Good job everyone! Let’s keep hunting for monsters, and while we do, let’s march in place!

Marching through the forest on a dark and spooky night (ooh!)
Hunting for the monsters looking left and right (left, right, left, right)
If we see a monster sneaking through the forest
You know what to do! We can trick them!
Don’t make a sound not a sniffle nor a sneeze I think I see a monster Everybody freeze!

Let’s keep hunting for monsters, and while we do, let’s hop!

Hopping through the forest on a dark and spooky night (ooh!)
Hunting for the monsters looking left and right (left, right, left, right)
If we see a monster sneaking through the forest
You know what to do! We can trick them!
Don’t make a sound not a sniffle nor a sneeze I think I see a monster Everybody freeze!

Good job, everyone, but I think the monsters are coming back! Everyone run in place!

Running through the forest on a dark and spooky night (ooh!)
Hiding from the monsters dodging left and right (left, right, left, right)
If we see the monsters running through the forest
You know what to do! We can trick them!
Don’t make a sound not a sniffle nor a sneeze here come the monsters Everybody freeze!

Thanks for going on a monster hunt with us, friends! If you had fun, we can do it again.

Be Kind, Rewind: The Case for Physical Media

Maybe it’s a genuine trend, or maybe it’s just my feed, but either way, it’s interesting to see. 20+ years ago, vinyl records started their comeback. Today, it seems VHS tapes are being treated with the same mythical reverence. A new generation is learning what “adjust your tracking” means. 📼
